SabbatNet.com is largely for the OWbN players of White Wolf’s Vampire the Masquerade larp, but it is also here for the players of the Mage, Garou, Mummy, and Changeling larps and tabletop games. SabbatNet.com is growing to include chronicles which are not part of OWbN and
will eventually include other role playing games such as gaslight, dark ages, requiem, and wraith among others.
This site is not financially supported or administratively directed in any way by White Wolf or OWbN.
In the attempt of being self supporting SabbatNet.com does contain some affiliate links such as google ads and amazon.com links. Hopefully these along with any donations will pay the hosting fees to keep SabbatNet.com on-line and growing. Currently SabbatNet.com costs about $130 per year in server & domain fees.
There is an Update RSS feed for SabbatNet.com which is syndicated on LiveJournal.com, myYahoo!, google, and livewindows. There is also an Events RSS feed for the posting of game related events
and conventions.
Sabbatnet has provided a free counter system which any
webmaster can sign up for and use. This is the system used for SabbatNet.com. The
counter
went live November 9, 2006. This system logs the top 10 monitor resolutions, last 30 and top 30 referrers, the top 30 TLDs, and top 40 search engine key words. It also charts visitors per day and per hour. If you would like to see more detail about the counter system use login : guest

urlvis is a url shrinker. "Vicissitude for the internet!" This is a utility for shrinking long urls in order to make them usable for posting in blogs and emails. It also makes it possible to write down a url without needing to remember long strings of symbols.
Sabbatnet.com now has an arcade with more than fifty online arcade games. Be patient with the first page there are a lot of graphics to download.
There is an extensive listing of OWbN member chronicles accessible from the pull down menus on the left side of most pages. Soon this directory will also be accessible by way of a clickable map of the USA, to make finding chronicles by state easier.
I will be adding
probationary -OWbN and non-OWbN chronicles to both of these directories.
Sabbatnet.com has a Google search engine which is focused on the sites belonging to the OWbN member chronicles, SabbatNet.com, and a few other game related sites.
In the works is Sabbat 101, Cam 101, Anarch 101, and Garou 101.
Focusing on Sabbat 101 first. There are sect, clan, species, and tribe pages in the works. These pages include links to books and movies which
would be helpful in doing PC developmental research for each of the relevant groups. These will also
have information for costuming ideas and costume suppliers.
There is a current moon phase element on most pages soon to be joined by a weather element which will be localized to the viewer and hopefully will include sunrise and
sunset times. Very helpful for those who play PCs with certain environmental derangements or a sensitivity to sunlight.
In January 2007 email-forwarding will be offered. With Email forwarding an email address like shovelhead @ sabbatnet.com could be forwarded to any email address.
Sabbatnet.com now has a site-map which is staying
fairly accurate.
In December the banner at the tops of most of the pages will
be changing to be a banner exchange with any chronicles who are interested in participating. A link or banner link from their site would be the only requirement to participate, other than providing a banner (468x90 most likely).
Every page has a
button for a pop-up which can be used in translating parts of that page
into other languages. A page base version of the translator and writing aide has
also been added. These offer 43 language combinations along
spellchecking, forein text decoding, and a virtual keyboard for typing
in forein scripts.
Any chronicle or clans LiveJournal or RSS/XML feed can be added to a page about their group. If a chronicle is interested in more of a
web presence this can be a good way to get your info out to other players.
There is a contact the
webmaster link on every page, I'm always interested in seeing input about the site even constructive criticism. Volunteer content writers and graphic producers are
welcome.
