Sabbat Festivals
Unlike the Camarilla, the Sabbat celebrate several annual festivals.
These are sect-wide celebrations, with huge turnout
in major Sabbat strongholds around the world,
and many smaller celebrations scattered around
wherever Sabbat packs may be roaming.
Festivo Dello Estinto
The "Festival of the Dead" is a grand celebration which spans the entire
second week of March, serving as a literal Cainite
Mardi Gras before the long Lent of summer. Each
Sabbat city holds the event, and nomadic packs join
their settled brethren in the closest city they can
reach. The Festival begins when the highest ranking
city priest gives the command to revel. Sabbat busy
themselves with indulging their darkest predatory
vices, testing the limits of their immortal selves.
The details of the Festivo vary from city to city,
but most include dances, hunts, competitions, Games
of Instinct, and above all the Fire Dance. Each
night concludes with a Vaulderie performed as close
to daybreak as possible. The gorging and feasting
culminates in a Blood Feast of epic proportions.
The Sabbat, The Camarilla, and the Anarchs are fictional sects of vampires,
from White Wolf Game Studio's Vampire: The Masquerade books and role-playing games.
