The Prisci exist outside of the normal structure of the Sabbat hierarchy, much like a platform near to the top of a pyramid. Old and powerful, they command authority by virtue of their experience, but the position itself carries no hierarchical authority. Instead, a priscus is a respected advisor to all members of the hierarchy, from the lowliest bishop to the Regent herself. Their advice is held in high regard by all Sabbat, and should all other channels fail, they may be petitioned for a redress of grievances by individuals of the sect.
