Templar
Officers of the Sabbat hierarchy are attended by a number of special agents known as templar (alternatively, "paladin"). To be appointed a templar is a great honor, marking a Cainite as a chosen vampire. For the duration of their service, templar are expected to place loyalty to their superior above all other concerns, However, only a fool would describe them as "servants".
Many of these templar are bodyguards or enforcers who use their martial prowess to protect the person of their superior. However, an equal number serve as advisors, investigators, or field commanders. Serving as the eyes and ears of their officer, templar walk the line between respected knights and reviled gestapo agents.
